3.5h Today I finished up my Launch work and I’m feeling pretty good about what I’ve done. I ended up abstracting a method so I could use it in 3-4 different problems, and I found a bunch of new native functions to use. Those new ones helped me slim down my code from lots to very little. I have at least 3 that are one-liners. I know that’s not always ideal, but it is nice to be able to read the thing in one breath.
After spending two weeks in ruby I’m definitely looking forward to next week (week 7) back in javascript. I started working on a new problem in javascript tonight and it felt like I was stuck in mud. My brain didn’t want to remember any ruby OR javascript! I should probably be pre-running the rails section a bit, but I’m not super eager to jump on that right now.
They gave us some books to check out and I may run down to the library and read for a bit tomorrow for a change of pace. It’d be nice to have a new view for a few hours.
