2.5h Today was a short one with my head in the books. I didn’t get much straight time to focus on the assignments, but I did still get most of them done. Tomorrow I have the system check and then looking everything over again. I learned about sorting, .map, .each, and worked on removing elements from an array. It’s not mind blowing, but it’s good to see how it can be faster than always using a for or a while loop.
Tomorrow there will be a small meetup and I’m looking forward to meeting a few people in person. I wonder if I’ll get the first day of school jitters!
Oh – the title above refers to some of the filtering operations like select. If you call it as “select!” then it will mutate the input array as opposed to creating a new array. It sure does make for a memorable name – doesn’t it?
